Following on from the tremendous success and critical acclaim for the band's last album 'Work In Progress', T&M can report that plans are currently in place to record the eagerly awaited follow up from the Charlie Harper / Jet / Alvin Gibbs / Jamie Oliver line-up.

The album will again be released by Captain Oi! Records, and the band are looking to go into Pat Collier's studio (where 'Work In Progress' was recorded in 2010), hopefully in July 2012.
The album, to be titled 'XXX', but generally called 'triple X' will indeed... be a triple disc release on its initial CD format. The main disc will be the new studio album, with the second disc being an acoustic album, a first for the Subs, consisting of one-third new songs, one-third old Subs songs and the final third being covers, of which one looks like being 'Angel Of Eighth Avenue', a Mott The Hoople song. There is also talk of a song being sung in Japanese by Jet! The third disc will be a live CD compilation or possibly a DVD, probably containing some gig footage and some behind-the-scenes tour footage.

U.K. Subs: XXX will most probably be released in the fabulous CLAMSHELL box which Captain Oi! have successfully used for their recent U.K. SUBS: Complete Punk Singles Collection & Skids: The Singles Collection 1978-1981 CD releases.
More news when we get it folks!
