Time & Matter Recordings to
continue raising money for the RNLI
The Time & Matter web-eds are delighted to officially announce that Charlie Harper recently confirmed that he wished for us to continue to raise money for the RNLI through our charity record label ‘Time & Matter Recordings
An RNLI representative recently met up with Charlie at the U.K. Subs’ Southampton gig in May to personally thank Charlie and the band for raising money through the Time & Matter website and record label as well as through having a ‘donations boat’ on the band’s merchandise desk.
Jez Cronin, who works at the RNLIs HQ in Poole in Dorset can be seen with Charlie in the accompanying photos.
Jez expressed his delight with the fact that, including the recently sold out tour programme, monies raised for the RNLI by the band and label now amounts to well over £3,000.
Jez told the Time & Matter website that “…as the Supporter Care Co-ordinator within the Fundraising & Communications team my role is to lead a team providing a first class service to all RNLI supporters and enquirers. Without the generous support of people like Mark, Rob and the U.K. Subs through their fundraising, both in financial terms and the personal effort involved, it would not be possible for the RNLI to continue saving lives at sea.
“My personal thanks go out to Charlie and the band, who in conjunction with Rob and Mark from Time & Matter Recordings have so far raised over £3,000 pounds for the RNLI. It’s an absolutely fantastic effort and I am so pleased - as an old punk myself - that one of my all-time favourite bands is helping to raise the money needed to keep the vital lifesaving service which the RNLI offers around the UK coast.
“It’s unbelievable that you recently so quickly sold out of all copies of the U.K. Subs 2014 tour programme with all the profits going to the RNLI! Thanks also must go to the Subs’ fans out there who continue to be so generous.
“I know I will be at the next U.K. Subs local gig to enjoy the band as always, and to once again thank Charlie and the boys and Yuko of course, personally, for their great efforts on the RNLI's behalf.
“Thanks a lot everyone it’s an honour to have you at our side.”
