Ed Thomas provides some further information regarding this gig:

"The support band for the 31 May 1980 gig at the Russell Club in Manchester was Discharge.

See http://thenightmarecontinues.yolasite.com/discharge-past-gigs.php
There was a load of Discharge fans up from Stoke at the gig, which was severely disrupted by some pretty nasty fighting. The club resembled a wild west brawl, with glasses and furniture getting smashed all over the place. There was a tense atmosphere in the club right from the start. I think it was Discharge fans kicking off against the Manchester punks."

Cheers Ed...
