Welcome to Time & Matter Recordings!

Time & Matter Recordings was set up as a 'not for profit company' in February 2010, and exists purely to put out previously un-released or no longer available U.K. Subs material with all the proceeds going to charity (see Charlie's Charitable Causes).

Below you'll find a list of current and past releases, all of which are limited editions, so unfortunately when they're gone they're gone.

In 2012 the Time & Matter website decided to branch out from its charity releases and formed a brand new record label entitled TIME & MATTER RECORDS. Operating as a commercial section under the Time & Matter Recordings 'umbrella', T&M Records releases will share the T&M prefix on their catalogue numbers.

T&M 008 - The U.K.Subs 2013 Calendar SOLD OUT

This beautifully produced 28 sided A4-sized (opening out to A3) U.K. Subs collectors item, is a limited edition of ONLY 200 hand-numbered copies, of which 150 are available through our secure T&M bigcartel.com shop. Priced at a BARGAIN £5-50 (plus £1-65 postage & packaging to the UK), the other 50 copies will be available from Yuko at the Subs' merch desk on the winter tour from the Saturday 3rd November gig at Nuneaton.

This year's calendar features the marvellous photographic talents of Gemma Eggle of LibraSnake Photography, with 18 full colour individual or band pictures, along with band members' birthdays and various Subs dates from the past given throughout the 12 months. As usual, 100% of the profits made from their sale go to our new charitable cause - personally chosen by Charlie - which this time is the RNLI.
The RNLI is our fourth cause, with T&M having already given over £4,000 to previous causes through our charity CDs, DVDs, vinyl and calendars, as well as our e-Bay charity seller’s account.
T&M has already raised £262-55 for the RNLI through one of our e-Bay auctions and in addition to the calendars and further auctions, Yuko will also be carrying an RNLI donations box (shaped as a lifeboat - see image right - click to enlarge) on the band's merchandise desk, so please donate whatever you can, as even the smallest amount is appreciated.

T&M 001 - Dance & Travel In The Robot Age (CD)

Originally released in 1980 by Black & White Recs (from the Isle of White in the UK), the recording was made by the late Tracy Crazy, from the Italian punk band S.I.B, who also took the photographs used on the cover.
Now, thirty years later, this historic recording is finally getting a proper CD release. Whilst not recorded with the most sophisticated equipment, and reproduced here from an original vinyl copy, "Dance & Travel" captures the Subs at the height of their powers with a blistering set of what would become the classics that are the mainstay of their live performances to this day.

Featuring exclusive liner notes from Paul Slack.
