It was thought that the Subs cancelled this gig due to the fact it was for students only, hence no Subs fans could get in. The press reported it was due to fears about violence at the show. However, Pete Davies stated to the website that "The Subs did play this gig - yes they didn't let fans in, it was weird, but we did play..."
