FILMMAKER PLANS MAJOR U.K. SUBS DOCUMENTARY
INITIAL APPEAL FOR U.K. SUBS FOOTAGE
The Time & Matter website editors are delighted to announce that the newly acclaimed screenplay writer and film director Mike Tweddle (pictured below) of Broken Scar Productions is planning a major new U.K. Subs documentary film over the next few years, with the help of Time & Matter Recordings, and YOU the fantastic U.K. Subs fan-base.
Mike is 47 and lives in North Yorkshire with his partner and two boys. He got into punk aged 11 and saw the Subs for the first time aged about 13 at a kids' matinee at the infamous Rock Garden in Middlesbrough. Ever since then, Mike says that the driving force of D.I.Y. ethics has led him to write fanzines, travel the world, write a book, write screenplays for other people (The Last Blast) and finally in 2013, he directed his first full length film 'Damaged Goods' (www.damagedgoodsfilm.co.uk).
Mike told T&M that 'Damaged Goods' actually came from a screenplay he'd written a few years earlier. The film has had a great response and has been shown in places as diverse as Durham, Windsor, Keswick and San Diego. See the trailer below:
Initial plans are that the documentary will be released around the same time that the U.K. Subs release their 'Z' album, and the documentary film will be funded partly by a 'Kickstarter' or 'Pledge' campaign.
